My son, William Kulakoski, was a student of Madame Simpson's French program in Locust Valley Primary/Intermediate in the l960's. He did very well in her class and used his knowledge of French when he went on a trip to Europe with the Concert Chorale class in 1976. She was a lovely person and will always be remembered by the students and parents of Locust Valley.

I am blessed to have been in Mrs. Randall's second grade class at Killebeg when some lady walked in and stated,"Bonjour classe. Je m'apelle Madame Simpson." From that day on, MME Simpson who I later knew as Jeanette, taught me French ass through elementary school and later in LVHS. She was one of many teachers who helped form my craft as a teacher and then administrator. I fondly remember a play performed totally in French, Le Soupe de Pieds...Stone Soup. Funny how time affects us all when one day I found a snapshot of us performing that play. I sent a copy to Jeanette and we had several calls between her home in Locust Valley and my home in Jensen Beach Florida. So moved by her kindness, I wrote a letter to the editor of the Leader praising Jeanette, Joan Dougherty and Ellen Minet...3 of my favorite teachers who helped in my educational formation.
I sincerely hope Jeanette is teaching French to everyone in Heaven. She will be missed by so many from Locust Valley!
