Mrs. Magenheimer was my second grade teacher over 30 years ago. She was a wonderful teacher and my very favorite and I never forgot about her. I was terrified of the nuns at the time and she was such a sweet comfort to me. My sincere sympathy goes out to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

Our thoughts go out to the Magenheimer-Coffey family. Glad to have shared just a little bit of Muriel's life as a wonderful and proud Grandmother to Aedan and Owen! and always the, of course, the school teacher..

Mrs Magenheimer was my 2nd grade teacher at St.Patricks in Glen Cove. As my three children go thru 2nd grade I often think of Mrs. Magenheimer and what a wonderful teacher she was. From teaching script to multiplication she was exactly what you imagine a 2nd grade teacher to be, kind compassionate and endless patience.

Mrs. Magenheimer was my 3rd Grade teacher at St. Anne's School in Garden City in 1965-1966. She was always my favorite teacher. She had a special way about her in how she would make you want to try harder no matter the subject or the assignment. She always looked out for me and I have never forgotten her

Jim introduced me to his mom in person at an award ceremony honoring Jim in NYC that she travelled to from L.I. . Having had her in our conversations, this was the first for me to see the humor and love in the eyes in this petite woman who was still working as a teacher . She was so warm it was easy to imagine what charge she must have held in the classroom.Meeting her at a family gathering for Jim, she exuded love for him and was the center of everyone's care and affection. May peace stay with all who knew her.
