I first met Joe in 1972 when he came to my office in Atlanta. He was selling meat and other restaurant products for Creative Foods. We bonded immediately and two years later upon my transfer to NYC with the now defunct F. W. Woolworth Co., not only we but our families became fast friends! --- Joe was one of those sparkling personalities who never met a stranger. Nonetheless, he was an astute businessman and woe be to anyone who attempted to mislead or snow him. --- We enjoyed many hours of hunting, fishing and dining together. And the trout fishing trips in the Catskills and trolling for blue fish off Montauk Point are among some of our most cherished memories! --- And one of the nicest things that ever happened to me was when I was accorded the honor of being the Godfather for Joe's granddaughter, Ashley, the daughter of Debbie and Billy Sena. --- Kathy and I will be eternally grateful for our earthly paths having crossed with those of Joe Della Monica and his wonderful family. Joe, we bid you a fond farewell . Charlie Kelly

I met Joe in my early years in Miami, Fl when he was buying his Burger King stores from BKC and my father Richard Walther(BKC Employee at the time and future fellow Franchisee). I have great memories and many fishing stories (With pictures) of good times. I am a better person in life, family and business for knowing Joe and his family over the years. The Walther family sends their kindest regards and wish the Della Monica family the best. He will be missed. Jim Walther
