Obituary of Douglas Vincent Walsh

Douglas V. Walsh, loved by all who knew him, passed unexpectedly June 10, 2020, age 76.  Beloved husband of Deborah for 44 years.  Grew up in Bayville with his late parents David and Marilynn, and dear sister Leslie DeNatale (the late Jim), where he loved the water and boating.  Doug was a devoted employee at St. Francis Hospital for 39 years.  His passion for cars was evident with many trips to Arizona, attending Barrett-Jackson auctions, and in building his dream car.  He looked forward to his trip to Aruba each year, and spending time in New Hampshire.  Loving son-in-law of John Gentile & the late Lillian, fond brother-in-law of Nancy Hopwood (the late Tom) and JoAnne Gentile (Mary LaSala).  Proud uncle of John Hopwood (Leslie), Lisa Wilkens (John), Heather DeNatale, and Brandon DeNatale (Jamie), and proud great-uncle of Wyatt, Cassandra, Jack, Ella, Cooper, and Wesley, along with many loving relatives and friends.  Doug's devotion, honesty and compassion, to everyone he knew, will be missed and not forgotten.  A new star now lights the sky . . . it will shine forever.
