I was so saddened to learn of Steve’s passing. We were the best of friends in high school at Friends Academy, and remained friends through college. We also commuted together from Greenvale at the beginning of our careers. I moved to Brooklyn and then to Maine and we unfortunately lost touch as often happens in life. I have so many fond memories of Steve and the fun times we had back then. He was honorable and reliable, and you could always count on him.He was a good person and I’m sure he was a wonderful husband and father , my heart goes out to his wife and children and I pray God gives them the strength to get through this difficult time. I am including a photo I found from the early 80’s when we took a trip up to Maine to spend some time at my family’s home, and that’s how I will remember him. RIP my dear friend , I wish we had kept in touch , but true friends can pick up right where they left after many years , and I’m sure that would have been the case .
Sincerely,
Stefan Tufano

Oh Steve - you left us all way too soon. That smile of yours had a magical way of brightening up the room. Especially when we became hysterical with laughter, listening to your voice impressions. How you single handedly put together our holiday meals. Your mastery in the kitchen had us all impressed - from making homemade pasta with the girls to becoming a successful winemaker. Thanks for always being there for us, Uncle Cheese. Rest In Peace
Not only did we lose a big part of our family when he left us, my dear mother lost her “son”.

I only had opportunity to speak with Steve once over the phone.
I still recall my conversation vividly… Steve was very friendly and fondly spoke about his family. My condolences to Steve’s family.

Steve was a bright man with a sense of humor. When in meetings at Morgan Stanley, we'd attempt to make the other laugh, out loud, at inappropriate moments. Steve had a unique and happy laugh.
While working together in Brooklyn, Morgan Stanley would provide free ice cream on Fridays. Steve, the diligent corporate manager, would always go in on Friday, while I opted to work remotely. The ice cream? Steve had my back. He didn't want me to miss out - he communicated that he'd left an ice cream sandwich on my chair for me.
THAT was my Steve Titus.
Angela and the girls? When Steve was having a challenging day, I'd sidle up and take his mind off the job. "Hey dude, push this to the side and tell me about the important stuff. How are your girls?". Steve's face would relax, then speak in a sing-song voice, recounting an anecdote about his wife & daughters. You three always made Steve smile.

Dearest Angela I was heartbroken to hear of Steven’s passing. He was a gentle and kind person inside and out with the greatest smile. You guys were so sweet together. I still think of you as the young couple starting out buying a house across from Mom to help her. I’m so sad for you, Ava, Rachael and Dolores. He has gone to soon. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I’m praying and thinking of you.

Steve was a special person. I worked with Steve back when we had phone companies and he was the young engineer full of new ideas and wisdom. We again came together at Morgan Stanley where he again shared his unique views on life and people.
I always told people when we spoke of Steve was that he had evolved to a higher place then us mere humans. I feel the world has lost a great soul and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Steve was my Boss in Morgan stanley, although it was for a very short duration but it was so impactful, he treated everyone with respect and appreciation, his calm voice boosted comfort and confidence into us and assured us that we are going to get through whatever we had as a team. Steve was a Human.
Rest In peace my good boss

I will always remember Steve for his wisdom and wit and the enormous respect all that knew him uphold. He was an influential leader who really cared about people. A man of intellect and integrity with a strong moral compass, Steve often spoke of his wife, Angela, and his daughters Rachel and Ava. Their well being were clearly paramount to him. Steve was an engineer with a keen mind for business and exceptional knowledge of many diverse subjects. We spoke as often as we could about the events of the day, whether it be business, politics, sports, or sometimes cooking and wine making; as the latter were passions Steve enjoyed. Steve was a true friend and a great listener who when asked would conveyed his thoughts with complete honesty. I think I gained much from our relationship, more perhaps than Steve ever knew. I believe there really is be no greater measure for success, then the lives one touches for the better. For these reasons and so much more, Steve, you will always remain in my heart.

He was kind, respectful and most of all kept things light when facing challenges.
