There are no words to express how much Yolanda meant to the Martin Family. She came into our lives in 1978 and was instantly loved by all and quickly became part of our family. We are so grateful for all that she did for us; always going the extra mile to do whatever needed to be done.
She will be so missed by all of us but she was blessed with 96 years of life and we are happy that Our Lord has called her home to be with Him and to rest in His Peace. Our thoughts and prayers are now for Phyllis and son-in-law, Paul, her grandchildren and great grandchildren and all her family that will no longer have this very special woman as part of their lives.
We love you, Yolanda, and you will never be forgotten. The Martin Family — Tom & Mary Lou, Kim, Tomas, Kristen, & Peter

Their are so many amazing memories we all have of this woman. Who lived such a long life and gave such a testament of our God. He says with long life will I satisfy you and show you my salvation. He honored his word to Grandma. Yolanda never met a stranger. Everyone was welcome to eat in Merle's kitchen. Sweet tea and coffee was always plentiful. Grandma raised me during my adolescent teen years. I still hear her voice telling me that if I didn't make it to school she would drive me and escort me to the office in her pajamas. Grandma your eyebrows always looked beautiful. And now in your new body you look like your 40 and dancing that polka. I can't wait till we all meet up again for the family reunion you always wanted. All your family to be together. Kiss grandpa for me. And tell dad I love him. With tears that seem endless, I know I cry for myself because you are at peace with Jesus and everyone you loved. Shine down here from time to time to remember us. All my love Allison.

The first time I met Yolanda, Allison's lovely grandmother we sat and talked and she wanted to show me her new car. It was 4 months old.The mirror was broke off and their were a few dents in it. And I said Grandma I thought you said it was a new car? And she said it is then I asked her why is the mirror broken and the dents in it? And she said "They Park to close to me at mass." And before we left their she made me bend down and give her a hug and she whispered in my ear take care of my Ally. Then last year when I was restoring power I stopped by to see her and Phyllis said she probably wouldn't recognize anybody, but as soon as she heard my voice, she was laying in her bed, she said that's Allison's Todd. She asked me what I was doing their? And she asked is the power out? And with a chuckle I said no Grandma your power is on. And she gave me a hug and told me to be careful! I am going to miss her. And I will always keep her wish and take care of her Ally. I hope they have a bigger parking lot in Heaven.

Aunt Yolanda was loved dearly by us all. We loved when she came to see us in California. I’ll always cherish the time she went to Santa Maria Inn . To put it in her words she wanted to find me a nice man, but in reality all the men were asking her to dance .We love and miss you!! But we know your having a beautiful reunion in heaven.

Aunt Yolanda there are so many memories from my childhood until 3 years ago at the last family reunion I saw you. There was not a time we were together you didn't have a smile or were laughing. There are memories of us baking together, eating our Sunday dinners with Grandpa, spending time at the Family reunions, and of course seeing you at the St. Rocco's feast. You were always such an important part of our family and will be missed so much. I was at every house you lived in and have memories at each one. I will never forget the train passing the house in Locust Valley. I love you so much and look forward to the day we meet again in Heaven and have that Big Italian reunion with all the Ceglia's and Lucidi's. Give Uncle Frank a hug from me!

My beautiful Yolanda aka “Shortie”. There isn’t enough space on here to say everything I want about my feelings for you. You were my angel on earth. You kept me in line since I was 9 years old, I can hear your laughter right now knowing how true that statement is (ha). There was never a dull moment between us. We were always laughing and we never had to tell each other how we felt because we knew. You have helped me in more ways then anyone will ever know. You started off a friend and became part of our family instantly. I love you so very much. I am comforted to know that like in life will always be my guardian angel. I am heartbroken for all of us who will miss you terribly, but I know you are in a better place now. I will love you forever and until we meet again keep me on my righteous path. “Shortie”. today you for the first time you have me at a loss for words. Until we meet again you will forever be in my heart.
I miss you
My love always ❤️
