Jim and Barb are friends from way back when all of our young children were in various stages of 'development,' and Barb played an particular role in shaping our older daughter's work ethic. We also recall an occasion when shared a picnic at their day school- and, of course, it included playing some tennis. At the time she was many months on her way to having Joey and begged me to play some tennis with her. Having some skill at that, and knowing her love of the sport, I immediately brought up the conundrum: If I win, I beat a very pregnant woman. If she wins, I was defeated by a very pregnant woman. And she just smiled! As I recall, we played to a tie in games and said "fair enough." Was it rigged? Perhaps....or perhaps not.
Fond memories abound of other get-togethers, such as skiing in Canada, and a meal of only beer/wine and mollusks on the dock in Newport watching J-24's have a national regatta. We wish Jim peace and fond memories of a life well lived with Barb, and our best to the four boys.
Love,
John and Joannie

I never look at the obituaries however her name caught my eye as I was looking at the newspaper and I realized that she was our realtor when we were buying our home 30 years ago. It was a very hard house to show as the tenants were reluctant to allow people in to see it; therefore not many realtors would show it. Barbara was extremely tenacious and didn’t let their unwillingness to be cooperative to stop her from showing the house… we ended up buying it and we’re still so happy living here 30 years later! Her “can do” attitude, helpfulness and kindness was the reason I still remembered her name all these years later.
Our sincere condolences to the Brundige family.
