Hey Dan and family. Some of my many fond memories of Dan are ski vacations, Nielsen events and especially his unique ability to remember people's phone numbers in the years before cell phones. He would invent an acronym for everyone's number. Go GRABFOX. love, Carrie

Dan was a great guy, great sense of humor. Great at his job. Kind to others. Good person to be around.
I have some fantastic memories, as well, of him being one of the best softball players I've ever seen as he and his friend (and co-media executive) Dave Moore were the best 1-2 punch on any softball team I ever played on (I'm referring to the Lifetime Television team in our competitive league that Dan and I co-managed).
May Dan rest in peace and know that we all still have fond memories of him so many years later.

I'm heartbroken as iare many to hear that my lifelong friend as passed. He told me he was sick when I spoke with him on his birthday but it's still tough. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers especially around Kentucky Derby Day, he loved the triple crown races as well as the Breeders cup weekend. I have so many great memories growing up with Dan. What a great friend with a great sense of humor.. always looked at the bright side of Life. Rest in peace Dan.

A great loss for many. A great arm, a great voice and a better person. Many memories. Something many might not know about. Danny was right handed but when we bowled, he would shoot for the 10 pin left handed. He picked it up more then the rest of us.

Dan was the best boss I ever had. No one can hold a candle to him. Our days at Lifetime and Reuters were the best of my career and will hold dearly in my heart and memories. God bless his family and friends during this difficult time.

Its with great sadness that I heard of Dan's passing. A big gentle bear of a man with a ready laugh who had incredible business sense and who I can truly say helped foster and support my career in journalism (as I think he did for many). Im proud to say i worked with Dan for almost three decades, from my start with Reuters Health through the many years with HealthDay, where I'm still working today. I know. he will be greatly missed by many out there and send my sincere condolences to Debbie and family.

Dan was a trusted colleague and friend. We met at the beginning of Cable Health Network. He was an impressive executive coming from Nielsen. And we worked together at Lifetime for 10 years.
He was smart and had a great sense of humor. I still and will tell jokes that I heard from him.
He will be missed by all that knew him.

Big Dan..you were loved by so many. One of the best memories is when you told Jack that you ate watermelon seeds and a watermelon was growing in your belly. My kids still remember that this day.
