Obituary of Pamela J. Galasso
Pamela “Pam” (Hinds) Galasso, 79, of Glen Cove, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023, surrounded by family, love, and peace. She was preceded in death by her son, John Leslie; parents, May and Gregory; and step-father, Les. Pam is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; children, Annette, Mark, and David (Tuyet); grandchildren, Angela and Christina; siblings, Annette, Sarah, and Simon; and step-mother, Cynthia.
Pam grew up on a farm with her parents and sister in England. This is where she discovered her love of nature and the outdoors. After raising her family in New York, she spent her time as a world-wide traveler with a special appreciation for our national parks, her favorite being the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. She enjoyed exploring the wilderness of Montana, relaxing by the Shenandoah River in Virginia, and “puttering around in the garden” at her home.
Pam was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister, and aunt. She unselfishly offered her time and kind words to everyone in her life. Her presence was a gift. She was a source of light, love and kindness to us all, and she will be forever in our hearts.
Visitation will take place at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home of Glen Cove on Sunday September 17, 2023, from 2-6 pm. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday September 18, 2023, at St. Patrick's Church of Glen Cove at 12pm. Inurnment to follow at Locust Valley Cemetery.
