Obituary of Ralph Fanizzi

Ralph Fanizzi, age 78, passed away on February 5, 2024 in Deerfield Beach, Florida.  Ralph was born in Corona, Queens and resided in Bayville, NY and Deerfield Beach, Florida where he enjoyed spending his winters.  He graduated from Manhattan College and worked his entire career as a Mechanical Engineer for LILCO, now Keyspan.  He is survived by his wife, Victoria Fanizzi, his daughters, Gina Fanizzi (Brian Markowitz) and Franca (Steven) Sachs, his stepchildren, Jacqueline (Scott) Russell and Richard (Michelle) Armstrong, his brother, Frank Fanizzi and his sister, Carmela Zona.  Ralph is also survived by his grandchildren - Mia Watts, Shelby Watts, Asa Sachs, Benjamin Russell, Ellie Russell, Alexandra Armstrong and Cooper Markowitz.  Ralph was a loving husband, father, brother, poppi and friend.  Ralph was a vibrant, full of life man who loved tennis, golf and most recently pickleball.  He was loved by all who knew and met him, a best friend to many and will be greatly missed.

Visitation at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 3-7pm.  Catholic Prayer Service at Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 6:00pm.
Inurnment will take place on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Mount St. Mary Cemetery at 11am.
