Salvatore, I am grateful for getting to know you these past several years and loved the stories, pictures, and videos you shared with me about my father Barney stretching decades before I was born.
Sal, you are a kind, loving soul who is now reunited with your brother, parents, and all those who waited at the pearly gates to welcome you. Until we meet again, Rest in Peace, good sir...

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Florence and John during this difficult time. I have known Sal and Florence as long as I remember, One of my fondest memories with them was our trips to the dude ranch when I was young. Sal made me get up in front of the entire dude ranch and sing "Tomorrow". I was so embarrassed.
Sal was the kind of person who was always there to lend a helping hand. Whether it was offering Will advice on dealing with Con Edison, or helping plan our family vacations, his wisdom and guidance were invaluable. He had a special knack for befriending restaurant owners and helping them in their kitchen. It was no secret that he especially enjoyed the perks, especially the free food :)
Sal's presence will be deeply missed but his kindness, generosity and memories we shared will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace.

Thinking of you and Sal and remembering all the happy times and special memories. Sal will be missed by us and everyone who knew him. He went out of his way to help out and bring joy into peoples lives. Whether it was for recommending doctors, lawyers, restaurants or gathering good discarded clothes to bring to a poor community. Sal was always ready to help out. He lived life to the fullest. We had good times together. The impact he had on our lives will always be remembered.
We had some really good laughs together. One of the funniest things I remember was the night we were out to dinner at La Spezia. When we finished dinner Sal was sitting outside and complained about chest pains so we put him in our car and rushed him to Saint Frances Hospital. On the way there he suddenly asked us to stop the car, and quickly open the door and ran outside into the bushes. He had to
P- -. He got back in the car, we continued to the hospital and everything turned out fine.
We will miss him.

We don't say this lightly-Sal was one of our favorite people. To know Sal was to love Sal. His outgoing, can do, helpful persona made him the mayor to all who knew him. Sal was a people person. Always starting conversations with those he met. He was a great storyteller. Sal & his wonderful wife Florence entertained often with delicious homemade food & warm conversation. John was the brightest light in Sal's life. His happiest role in life was being a father & a loving husband. It's hard saying goodbye to such a long standing friend. We have such wonderful memories of the laughs & good times we shared. We and all who knew him will miss the presence of Sal in our lives.

A light has certainly dimmed with the passing of dear Salvatore. His boundless kindness and friendly disposition touched countless lives around him. A jester at heart, his humor never failed to raise spirits high. The generosity he displayed was unparalleled and he was exceedingly thoughtful towards the needs of others. Above all, his selflessness remains etched in our memories forevermore. As my best friend, his absence leaves an indelible void. May his soul rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Sal passing. I can go on forever about my relationship with Sal from our days working together at Con Edison right up to a few months ago when I was able to sing a special song to Sal and Florence in honor of their wedding anniversary. Sal was always calling me to help me get singing jobs - he was always helping others. He used to hire my band for the Con Edison Retiree Holiday Luncheons - then right up to recent months he would text or call me about a place I could perform. Always when I performed, Sal would ask me to pay tribute to Veterans - I always did and always will in honor of my friend Sal. I will miss you Sal - thank you always for being a part of my life! So sorry to hear of Sal's passing. Sal and I had many discussions over the many years I knew him.
Some heated, but only because he was just trying to do the best for the retirees. He never stopped being involved and sharing information.
He will be missed by many.
My husband and I send our heartfelt condolences to the family.
