How do I talk about my brother? My Big Brother.
My lifelong best friend, confidant , the one who could fill in the blanks in my memory of all the places we had lived and the people we had known growing up in a traveling military family.
We became very close as adults and spoke on the phone almost daily. It was not uncommon for him to call to make sure I didn’t miss an old classic black and white movie on TMC . And, to discuss at length the best parts.
I’ve always been so very proud of Bob. In spite of his many serious illnesses over the past many years, he never gave up . His motivation was to be with and a part of Laura and his three daughters lives. He loved them so much and was so very proud of Lindsay ,Christina and Reed. They were the lights of his life. Laura has been a loving and supportive partner through some really difficult times in Bob’s illnesses. I can’t thank you enough for your love and devotion to Bob.
I cannot imagine not getting my daily call and talking about nothing and everything with the person who has been with me my whole life. I, of course, knew that one day Bob’s body would finally give up. He was so tired. I will miss him forever but feel so thankful and blessed to have had him as my brother and buddy for as long as I did.
Bobby, I know you are up there reading the sports page, watching the Food Network and smiling down on all of us. Until we meet again, rest and know how very loved you have been by so many.

Uncle Bob was definitely special to me and my family growing up, mom would talk about their childhood living in Florida, Texas, and New Jersey; he was so wholesome and sweet. Bob took great care for his little sister, mom, I saw that same love, and more for Laura, Lindsey, Reed, and Christina, he loved them all so genuinely. When you were with Bob he told the truth and most times, could make you laugh. I’ll always remember one time, Kyle Murphy my brother and I got to spend the day with Bob on the golf course the day before Bridget Fletcher my little sisters wedding, hole after hole non stop laughs! Jokes back to back… and golf on the side! His smile and laughter, and his overall being really made the day something really special for us the west coast nephews. Bob is a salt of the earth soul and he loved his family wholeheartedly and second to family, we can all agree was good food. He loved food! We talked so much about all the ways to cook and ENJOY food. It’s been a joy to live with Bob. Thank you for lighting up our days when you were with us. God bless you Uncle Bob love you!!

Dearest Laura & families We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayer and deepest condolences to you and your families. Bob was always so kind, patient and he was wonderful to our pee wee football and cheerleaders. It was so much fun back then hanging out in the Maccarone Stadium even in the rain or snow. We all will miss him.
